Vargas chairs the board of directors of Fairfax Leadership 2021-22

FAIRFAX, VA – Danny Vargas, president and founder of marketing agency VARCom Solutions, was recently named president of Leadership Fairfax, following the organization’s latest election, according to a statement. He succeeds outgoing president Kimberly Stewart, founder of Stepping Stones Consulting.

“I am honored and delighted to step in as President of such an impactful and dynamic organization as Fairfax Leadership at such a pivotal time,” said Vargas, in the “We Live at a Unique Intersection of Great Anticipation for Economic Renewal and social after a stifling pandemic; the devastation suffered by so many families who have lost loved ones or livelihoods to COVID-19; and the realization that our society still has a long way to go to accommodate racial, ethnic and other disparities.Has been the case for over 30 years, Leadership Fairfax will be a leading voice in the region for positivity, unity and an honest / candid approach to address the challenges we face. Vargas will join the other newly elected Board members 2021-2022, which will help develop and inspire local leaders through the organization’s three leadership programs – Leadership Fairfax Institute Signature Program, Emerging Leaders Institute and Lifetime Leaders Program.

In addition to his role at Leadership Fairfax, Vargas is also Chairman Emeritus of the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino and is a past Chairman of the Virginia Board of Workforce Development. He is also a member of the Dulles Regional House and secretary of the State of Virginia Advisory Committee to the United States Civil Rights Commission.

Cynthia Bailey, who is the assistant district attorney for Fairfax County, is also joining the board as vice president.
